Ryann began working at Bohm Law Group/ V. James DeSimone in 2015. In 2024, Ryann was promoted to Vice President of Bohm Law Group. In 2019, Ryann was part of the trial team in the case Birden v. UC Regents where the jury found UC Regents liable for racial harassment and awarded $1.58 million in damages. In recognition of her work, Judge Michael Stern commented that Ryann did “a very good job” in trial preparations and that he had “seen very few better”, while emphasizing that “biggest, baddest firms in America come in here and they are not as good as you.” Ryann was also part of the trial team in Kerrigan v. County of Orange where the jury awarded $1.5 million to the Plaintiffs who buried a stranger rather than their loved one, Frankie Kerrigan, because the body had been misidentified by the county Coroner’s Office. Ryann led the briefing in an appeal to the 9th Circuit after the District Court granted Summary Judgment on a federal civil rights police excessive force wrongful death case on the basis of qualified immunity. In 2023, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals reversed and remanded the lower court’s decision, allowing the Plaintiffs to proceed with their claims.

Ryann has been selected to the Rising Starts list every year since 2020, an honor reserved for 2.5% of attorneys who exhibit excellence in practice. While at Tulane University Law School, Ryann received with honors in Trial Advocacy, was awarded the Robert Force Award for Outstanding Service by a Managing Editor by the Tulane Maritime Law Journal, and graduated in the top 20% of her class. In her free time, Ryann enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter and (like many native West Angelinos) going to the beach.
