Williams v. CSU

DeSimone achieved a settlement in which the California State University Board of Trustees paid $2.5 million to the family of a mentally ill graduate student shot and killed by Cal State University San Bernardino police. The settlement also involved beneficial change as Cal State San Bernardino o agreed to revise its crisis intervention policies and require that its police officers complete a minimum of 32 hours of Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) by December 31, 2015, coordinated with local mental health authorities.
